The NGBSC is pleased to offer both Academic and Need-Assessed scholarships each year.  The applicant must be a high school senior or presently enrolled as a
full-time college student. The applicant’s parent, spouse, or guardian must be an individual, either officer/enlisted or civilian (GS/NSPS), working for the National Guard Bureau in the VA/MD/DC area, in one of the following categories:


  1. Title 10 Active Guard Reserve (T10 AGR) Army or Air National Guard assigned to the National Guard Bureau (NGB) or representing NGB in the National Capital Region.

  2. Active Army or Air Force personnel assigned to the NGB.

  3. Retired from the T10 AGR program with the NGB.

  4. Deceased personnel (military or civilian) whose previous
    assignment was the NGB.

  5. Civilian personnel (GS/NSPS civilians only) working full-time for the NGB.  

Applications are not accepted from applicants that have previously received scholarship awards from the NGBSC.

Scholarship funds will be awarded through the academic institution's financial aid office to be used for educational needs including tuition, books, and related fees.

Deadline for submission (postmarked by): March 31, 2020.
