The National Guard Bureau Spouses' Club

Community service and scholarships serving the families

of the Capital Area National Guard since 1955.

The National Guard Bureau Spouses’ Club (NGBSC) (formerly the NGB Officers' Wives' Club NGBOWC) was established in 1955 to provide the newly arrived NGB family with an introduction to the Washington, D.C. area. As a support network, the club organizes informational and social activities for the membership.  As a nonprofit organization, it assists the military community through various charities and college scholarships.

The year officially begins in September at the  NGBSC Welcome Coffee Hosted by the Generals’ Spouses of NGB. We raise funds for scholarships of NGB dependents. Fundraisers include the sale of White House Historical Association Christmas Ornaments, Wendel August Veteran Ornaments, and flower sales for Valentines Day and Mothers Day.  In 2019, five $1,200 scholarships were awarded to dependents of those (enlisted, officer, or civilian) assigned to the National Guard Bureau. Scholarship award recipients were recognized at the scholarship luncheon in May 2018.

If you are the spouse of a National Guard soldier or airman in the National Capital Area, welcome!  We invite you to join our ranks and look forward to meeting you soon.
