WHO WE ARE

Community service and scholarships

The National Guard Bureau Spouses’ Club (NGBSC) (formerly the NGB Officers’ Wives’ Club NGBOWC) was established in 1955 to provide the newly arrived NGB family with an introduction to the Washington, D.C. area. As a support network, the club organizes informational and formal social activities for our members. As a nonprofit organization, we assist the military community through various charities and college scholarships.

Historically, the year officially begins in the fall with a NGBSC Welcome Coffee, hosted by the Chief of the National Guard’s spouse at their home on Fort McNair. The club provides camaraderie during our time living in the nation’s capital and extends support by granting educational scholarships to our dependents.

If you are the spouse of a National Guard soldier or airman, assigned to the National Guard Bureau, serving at the Pentagon, Army or Air readiness center, please join! NGB civilian spouses, and retirees of the NGB are welcome, as well. We invite you to join and look forward to meeting you soon.
